For a warm and enterprising family, a mother with two school age children, we are looking for an experienced Family Assistant who brings calm, structure and support to a dynamic family situation. This is a long term role in which you will partly work alongside the mother, while being given every opportunity to carry out your work pleasantly and independently. You play an important part in daily family life. You work both at the mother's home in Loenen aan de Vecht and at the father's home in Breukelen, supporting the children in both households. Connection, safety and a positive approach are central to the family. That is why we are looking for someone who keeps an overview, thinks ahead and is strong both practically and organisationally.
About the role
As a Family Assistant, you support the family with its daily organisation and bring calm, structure and continuity to the household. You are a key figure within the family and switch easily between practical support, planning and caring for the children. The family is looking for someone who can truly be an extension of the mother: proactive, independent and committed. Someone who thinks along, brings warmth and feels at ease in a dynamic family situation in which collaboration, trust and connection are central.
Tasks:
- Planning and organising family life
- Coordinating school, sports and social activities
- Taking the children to and from their activities
- Cooking healthy meals
- Doing the grocery shopping and keeping the household organised
- Managing laundry and clothing
- Noticing what the family needs and responding proactively
- Creating structure and calm within daily routines
- Practical support with appointments, holidays and special occasions
- Providing a warm, safe and pleasant environment for the children
Who are we looking for?
- Experience working with families or in private service
- Available for 32 to 40 hours a week
- A driving licence is a must, your own car is an advantage
- Fluent Dutch speaker
- Structured, warm and empathetic
- Strong in communication and collaboration
- Creative in coming up with solutions and activities
- Someone who brings calm and connects easily with children
- A sporty and active nature is an advantage
What does the family offer?

Practical information
