For a warm and active family in Bergen, we are looking for a loving, confident Nanny with a solid background in child development. The family is looking for a committed professional who offers structure and security and enjoys organising educational activities, creative moments and outings. You work four days a week from 07.30 to 17.30. This is a long term position.
The role
As a Nanny, you are responsible for the daily care and guidance of three girls. You provide a safe and stimulating environment in which they can develop at their own pace. Structure, good manners and treating one another with respect are important within the family.
You are seen as a partner in raising the children and are given the freedom to act independently and set boundaries.
Your tasks include:
- Guiding the daily structure and routines
- Taking the children to and from school and activities
- Organising educational, creative and active pastimes
- Regularly going outdoors and going on outings
- Preparing healthy meals
- Taking care of the children's laundry and bed linen
- Maintaining calm, routine and clear boundaries
- Maintaining open and clear communication with the parents.
The family has household help once a week. The emphasis of this role is therefore on caring for the children and light household tasks.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a calm, open and friendly Nanny who is self assured. You are loving and committed, but can also set boundaries in a natural and consistent way. You take initiative, think ahead and communicate clearly.
In addition:
- You have extensive and relevant experience as a Nanny or in childcare
- You are trained in child development or education
- You enjoy cooking tasty and healthy food
- You can ride a cargo bike safely
- You preferably live no more than 30 minutes' travel from Bergen
- You are available for 40 hours a week
- You are looking for a long term relationship.
Your own car is an advantage. Parking is available at the family's home. Occasional availability in the evening or at weekends is appreciated, but not a requirement.
