Not just anyone becomes a TFA Nanny or Family Assistant!

TFA selects only the very best Nannies and Family Assistants. We do this because not only we ourselves, but also our families, choose the very best. That is why a Nanny or Family Assistant is never placed without careful thought; an extensive selection procedure comes first. How does it work? Read more about it here!

The first contact with a candidate comes through the website or an open vacancy. Candidates send us their CV, which is assessed thoroughly. This is followed by an introductory call.

If the CV is approved and the introductory call goes well, we invite the candidate for a personal interview. During this interview we ask a range of in depth questions and assess whether the work experience gained so far is sufficient. We also pay attention to attitude and body language, presentation, professionalism and the complete picture: is the candidate a true ambassador for the family she will work for?

Once TFA is convinced of this, a number of further steps follow, including checking diplomas and references, and we request a certificate of good conduct (VOG).

When this extensive check has been approved, the candidate is admitted to the TFA Masterclass. This masterclass is a full day programme that explores a number of important themes in depth. Throughout the day, various specialist teachers give lessons on topics such as hosting, etiquette and style. A candidate must complete the TFA Masterclass with a positive result.

Throughout the year, several advanced masterclasses are held for Nannies and Family Assistants, covering the latest themes and current developments. In this way we safeguard the standard of our Nannies and Family Assistants not only before they start their new job, but throughout their career with TFA!
