For a warm, internationally minded family in Amsterdam, we are looking for a loving and experienced Nanny for 30 hours a week, spread over Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Other days may be possible by arrangement.
You will take care of a cheerful little girl of almost one year old on a daily basis. The parents are looking for someone who not only provides loving care, but can also draw on her experience to share ideas about her development, sleep, structure and upbringing. A wonderful position for a Nanny who would love to become a true part of a family and is looking for a long term relationship.
About the family
The family consists of a father, a mother and their daughter. Both parents have dynamic careers and have lived abroad for a considerable time. They are used to working with a Nanny and therefore know how valuable it is to have someone by their side who works independently and is confident taking responsibility.
One of the parents regularly works from home. The family has an open and informal atmosphere in which trust, good communication and mutual respect are important.
The family lives centrally in Amsterdam, no more than a 10 minute walk from Amsterdam Centraal. The location is therefore very easy to reach by public transport. Coming by car is less practical, as there is no parking in front of the house.
About the little one
You will be caring for a cheerful, sociable and curious girl of almost one year old. She is already good at entertaining herself, loves interaction and adores being outdoors. She is used to being out and about with her parents a lot and generally responds easily to new people.
Her parents pay close attention to her individual needs and at the same time would welcome you bringing more structure to her day based on your professional experience.
That is why they are looking for a Nanny with knowledge of early childhood development who can, for example, offer input on sleep, daily rhythm, developmental stages and appropriate boundaries.
What will you do as a Nanny?
Caring for the little one is the foundation of your working day. You provide a safe, loving and stimulating environment in which she can develop at her own pace.
Your tasks include:
- daily care
- offering suitable play and developmental activities
- going outdoors and doing activities together
- creating structure and a pleasant daily rhythm
- guiding naps and mealtimes
- sharing ideas about her development and upbringing
- preparing food and bottles
- taking care of the little one's laundry
- light household tasks
- independently noticing what is needed throughout the day.
Are you also a good cook and do you enjoy preparing something now and then? That would be lovely.
You will have your own space in the house for caring for the little one, while the mother works from her home office.

- You are an experienced, caring and reliable Nanny who radiates calm and at the same time is not afraid to take initiative.
- You have a natural connection with young children and understand that working as a Nanny goes beyond simply providing good childcare.
- You enjoy actively contributing to a child's development and feel comfortable in a role in which you are also seen as a partner in raising her.
