Loving & Independent Nanny wanted | Amsterdam, Centrum

For a family in Amsterdam's canal belt, we are looking for a committed Nanny who will care for two children aged 6 and 9 with enthusiasm and responsibility. You are a familiar face within the family, you bring calm and structure, and you know exactly when to support and when to think ahead.
What will you do?
No two days are the same. You make sure the children feel safe, seen and at ease, while supporting the family in a practical way. Your tasks include:
- Picking the children up from school and accompanying them to (sports) activities.
- Organising fun, creative and suitable activities, both indoors and outdoors.
- Coordinating play dates and planning the afternoon.
- Preparing healthy meals for the children and occasionally doing the grocery shopping.
- Creating a warm, safe and structured environment in which the children feel comfortable.
- Keeping the house presentable and ensuring a pleasant, tidy atmosphere.
- Taking on light household tasks, such as tidying up after activities, loading and unloading the dishwasher, folding laundry and putting out the rubbish.
- Independently noticing what the family needs and responding proactively.
Who are you?
You are someone who enjoys working within a family and gets energy from taking work off the parents' hands. You are reliable, keep to agreements and pick things up on your own initiative.
In addition
- You have proven experience in guiding and caring for children.
- You are independent, proactive and take responsibility.
- You think ahead and see what needs to be done.
- You communicate easily and speak Dutch (or Afrikaans)
- You have experience riding a cargo bike.
- You are available from Tuesday to Friday (on Wednesdays you work until approximately 23.00).
- You preferably live in (or near) Amsterdam, as the house is best reached by bike or public transport.
What can you expect?
• A salary between € 3.500 and € 4.500 gross per month (based on a 40 hour working week), depending on your experience and background.
• A long term position with a warm and committed family in the heart of Amsterdam.
• A working environment in which trust, open communication and collaboration are central.
• Hours: 32 hours a week
• Working hours: Tuesday 14:00 to 18.30
Wednesday: 12:00 to 23:00
Thursday: 14:00 to 18:30
Friday: 14:00 to 18:30
