Vacancy Nanny I Amsterdam
For a warm and enterprising family in Amsterdam, we are looking for an experienced, energetic and loving Nanny who, from January 2027, would like to play an important role in the life of their first child, who is expected at the end of 2026.
Both parents have an entrepreneurial background and are looking for someone who can contribute with confidence, independence and enjoyment to a safe, stimulating and warm environment for their little one. Open communication, mutual trust and collaboration are central within the family. They are explicitly looking for a Nanny they can see as a partner in raising their child: someone with initiative, strong intuition and an eye for development, structure and connection.
About the family
The family lives in Amsterdam. On weekdays, both parents work from an office close to home. Within the family there is plenty of room for personal responsibility. The Nanny is trusted to shape the days independently and to actively think along about activities, rhythm and development.
The role
As a Nanny, you are responsible for the daily care and guidance of a baby. The focus is entirely on creating calm, security, structure and joy. You know what a child needs at different developmental stages and enjoy actively contributing to their development through play, creativity and suitable activities.
Alongside caring for the little one, you help maintain a pleasant and well kept household around the child. There is a cleaner, so household tasks are light and supportive in nature.
The role involves longer working days with flexibility in the evenings (by arrangement).
The family is looking for someone who feels comfortable in a dynamic entrepreneurial environment and who enjoys becoming an active part of the family.
Indication of working days and hours (please note that days and hours are indicative):
- Tuesday to Thursday 08.30 to 19.00
- Friday: 12.00 to 23.00
In addition, flexibility is required for occasional extra childcare or an evening or weekend by arrangement, and you enjoy travelling with the family.
Tasks
- Full care of the little one
- Maintaining structure, rhythm and routines
- Encouraging age appropriate development
- Undertaking fun and educational activities
- Keeping the child's surroundings presentable
- Doing the grocery shopping and small supporting household tasks
- Doing laundry
- Thinking along and taking initiative in the daily organisation around the child
Who are we looking for?
For this family, we are looking for a well presented, enterprising and warm Nanny with proven experience with babies. You are independent, think ahead and have a good sense of what a family needs. You enjoy getting out and about, bringing new ideas and truly becoming part of the family.

- Reliable and independent
- Flexible and available in the evenings
- English speaking (Spanish is an advantage)
